Blue light dmx software

Spotlights are long-barrelled fixtures used for sharp-edged focused lighting using multiple lenses and focused with internal shutters. Washes are used for softer and more even lighting of a larger area by lighting through a frosted and ringed lens. Basically a big light bulb with a shiny surface in a metal tube.

Connecting them all together is simple as lighting is typically connected via daisy chain as shown below. Obviously this is the biggest hurdle for most people to get into lighting.

Fixtures are expensive, control is expensive, hell even cabling gets super expensive once you have to start buying it in quantity or replacing lost ones…. The purchase also comes with a whole host of maintenance and upkeep which other than being financially costly can also be exceptionally time-consuming if you want your gear to look its best. So how can you possibly put your vision out there without dropping a boat-load of cash? Rental gives you the best of both worlds: new kit, well looked after and available to hire on a day rate that can be worked into your appearance fee.

There are drawbacks that come with the price and the form factor. For one, even though a Universe is channels, this desk can only handle up to 16 channels.

With the DMXIS, you can take charge of a show's entire lighting system — with perfect sync of the audio and lighting, and all from a single computer. Just need it to run simple sound to light settings and move a few mirrors etc..

Your suggestions please.. I'm a sound boy so lighting knowledge limited. Matt DMX dimmers
 More sharing options Chris Beesley Posted September 26, Chamsys MagicQ? The Execute screen is easy for basic users to recall scenes etc. Software is free. Alec97 Posted September 26, However you can't directly use an audio midi controller with MagicQ the software is free, so ChamSys have to get some money somehow!

You can buy a small fader wing with 10 faders and a proper DMX output as the enttec open DMX dongle still relies on the computer for timing from ChamSys for a relatively low price for MagicQ to run with.

The software also gives you the ability to busk more "disco"y shows with relative ease, and can also be used for theatre stack programming so should be able to cover both of your bases and is scaleable for any size rig. Remember, there is no such thing as the "best" software for a laptop, only the most appropriate for someones situation. If I wanted to control a rig with hundreds of moving lights, LED fixtures and suchlike, then a 6 channel controller wouldn't be appropriate for that at all!

Its all down to suitability for a certain situation. Probably the most user friendly system on the market is the Martin Lightjockey system. It comes already fitted with the major manufacturers light profiles in it and genic DMX Dimmer Profiles. The full software program can be downloaded free from the dowloads section of the Martin website so you can try it and see if it does what you need before you buy or not the dongle.

I believe there is also a much cheaper version of the dongle available out there somewhere advertised as working with the same software but havent been able to find it. Goto www. It is easy and intuitive to use. You can get a number of different sized PC wings for it including the Mini Wing which would probably be perfect for what you need.

If you mean that MagicQ doesn't support it, then Unless you mean in terms of customer service style support, but even then I'm fairly sure that if you rang ChamSys up, we'd be able to help you in setting the device up to work with MagicQ! It may be worth checking with the Chamsys Rep on here as to pricing.

This is really useful when you want to work with multiple devices on the same network. For instance, we can use both devices in the same network, simply by setting the first device to start on subnet 0 and the second device to start on subnet 1. This way, any Lumiverses patched to subnet 0 will always go to the first device, and Lumiverses patched on subnet 1 will always go to the second device. Run programming in your software.
