Windows cannot copy file cookies
If I launch the same command on a Windows 10 machine, the cmd window gets stuck and the file never gets copied. Same domain, same user as the Windows 7 machine.
If, with Windows 10, I copy other files from "less crowded" folders on the same file server may it just be the parent folder of the one I should be copying from , everything is OK. Have you tried using robocopy?
It might just be too many things and maybe the copy binary is different in windows Yes, I've tried. It won't copy it even opening CMD as an administrator unfortunately. Explorer just sits there loading and loading without ever opening the folder to let me see the files. Instead of using the server name, you may want to try it by IP. Could be unrelated to Windows 10 entirely.
Check chmod's idea about SMBv1 being disabled. Where version of server are you trying to copy from? Thanks everyone! Doing it via IP instead of via server name doesn't change anything. I cannot use robocopy as the command gets issued by a program I haven't control of. Trying to get files from a Server not R2 if this helps. Enabling SMB V1 does the trick somehow, the file gets copied although the process is not as fast as it used to be with Windows 7. Server uses SMB 2.
This sounds like windows 10 may not be able to use SMB 2. I've found that if you can't copy using a cmd line, it's usually an authentication error.

Hi Everyone, Just wondering if anyone has any fresh information on this. Specifically, if you exclude Cookies from the roaming profile, what is the [adverse] impact, if any, on the end user?
Are the "contents" of the many tiny individual cookie files aggregated into the cookies. If so, could you add a logoff script that deleted the individual cookies files, but left the.

Ive seen someone reply to your problem and I have to agree with them. Firstly make sure that the file is not in use as copying it will give you that error. Secondly the file has the requisite permission by the user profile to do that specified action. You can log in as "Administrator" and try the same thing.
If it works then its a permission issue. Do you think the OP is still looking after 3 years? Probably not. Wizard57M TR Moderator. Or put it on the last page or something. Sometimes people reply to stuff without realizing the date of something.
